Doogsey, your right pay-rises dont happen as a result of being promoted but sometimes you can be promoted at same pay rate to do less work in a more senior role. I see alot of that happening in my organisation which means less work for the same pay with a senior title added against your name you still get a benefit. But in general once ur promoted that means you done way above your current duties or else u wouldnt be promoted to start with and its safe to say you can start assessing a payrise or looking at other better paying opportunities in the market.
